  • "Local knowledge is everything! We had an unforgettable tour of the wildlife around Port Stanley in the Bound family 4x4 - as a taster for their tours for 2026/2027 when we stopped for a day on the Islands from our cruise ship in January 2025. They showed us all the incredible wildlife spots in reach of Stanley - Gipsy Cove, the Lighthouse and York Bay and we spotted seals and all varieties of penguins. Their land rover is perfect for off-roading and challenging terrain not to mention the fun!"

  • Bound Tours My wife and I met Libby and Zak at Goodwood, where they were working for the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust. What a great couple! They have set up Bound Tours and are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Falklands, its nature and Shackleton history. We have booked the ‘Shackleton Tour’ for our January 26 visit. We are so excited.

  • Fun and Informative Day In Stanley! Zak and Libby are wonderful hosts. Zak waited for us more than two hours on a cold, windy day as the shuttles from our ship to shore were very slow. At our request, they modified the standard Shackleton tour tomorrow include include the major sites in the area. We were fortunate to have the added bonus of meeting Zak’s dad—the man who found Sir Edmund Shackleton’s ship, Endurance. He and Zak brought the story of Shackleton journey to life. Highly recommend this extraordinary adventure.

  • An amazing day! It was a SUPER windy day when we took this tour, but Zak was unperturbed, and thus so were we. On the drive out to Bertha's Beach, he talked about life on the islands, pointed out battlefield sites, and gave us lots of information about penguins, which he loves. At the beach we saw many Magellenic penguins up close and were able to get some great photos. We then had a delicious lunch prepared by his partner Libby. We ate outside, sheltered by the wind, until the rain chased us back into the 4x4. Libby's "flapjack" candy was delicious. Then we went to Yorke Beach to see gentoo penguins. Zak pointed out 2 king penguins in the crowd as well. Afterwards we saw the family boat 😄 and he dropped us off at the museum. Zak was most kind and accomodating, answering our questions and stopping whenever we wanted to take a picture. Despite the sub-par weather, it was an amazing day! I would definitely come back and I would book my tour with Zak and Libby!

  • Great Tour of the Falkland... Our tour of the Falkland Islands included Gypsy Cove, Cape Pembroke & Stanley. Our tour guide, Libby, was an absolute delight. Penguins are what we wanted to see, and penguins we did see……..three different species. When you add her knowledge of the island, you have an exceptional tour. Highly recommend.

  • I wish there was a way I could give this 10 stars instead of the maximum of five! This tour was magnificent! The penguins and the landscapes are all incredible, unique, and beautiful on the Falkland Islands! But it is Libby & Zak that make this tour truly special! They are kind and thoughtful and will give you personal insight to living in this special place! I wish that I could give this 10 stars instead of the maximum of five. If you are considering exploring the Falkland Islands with Bound Tours… Stop, hesitating, and book it now! You will not be disappointed!

  • Falklands are must stop. Libby was a wonderful host and guide. Very informative and sociable And since it was a very small group attention and focus was spectacular. Penguins galore (3 different species), saw a couple of seals, and lots of birds. A wonderful day!

  • Tour of Falkland Island, and of the discovery of Shackelton’s Endurance with one of the discoverers ! It’s the best tour we’ve ever been on! We toured with the explorer that discovered Shackleton’s Endurance. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about his discovery. We loved it! He even gave us a copy of his book that was 2nd on the best seller list! We loved everything!!

  • If I could give it 10 stars I would A+++. Absolutely amazing day with Libby. She was a fantastic guide - very informative, friendly and her knowledge base was impressive. Would definitely recommend this company - itinerary was great - took so many photos of this amazing island.

  • Fascinating Falklands. Our guide, Zak Bound, met us at the jetty (we arrived via cruise ship) and we enjoyed a superb, fascinating 3 or so hour tour. Zak was incredibly knowledgable about the whole Shackleton story, together with great insight into Falklands life more generally. He even took us to see a penguin colony and some sea lions. We finished our tour at Zak’s house where we met his Dad, Mensun Bound, the author and explorer who found the wreck of Shackleton’s ship ‘Endurance’. Mensun shared with us all manner of historic memorabilia. An all together fantastic trip!

  • Incredible experience! Had an incredible trip to Whale Point on Bound Tours in a fantastic classic Land Rover with exciting off-road driving. Zak and Libby are extremely competent tour guides and excellent drivers too. They were telling me all about the incredible history of the islands and the wildlife too. Speaking of wildlife, wow! We saw massive elephant seals, a fantastic 19th century shipwreck, King and Gentoo penguins and Night Herons, to name but a few! By far the most incredible trip I’ve ever been on and the knowledge, hospitality and professionalism of our wonderful tour guides was exceptional. I thoroughly recommend Bound Tours to to anyone thinking of visiting the beautiful stunning wilderness and wildlife haven that is the Falklands. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

  • Love Libby and Zak Bound (Bound Tours). Staying in Stanley for 2 weeks. Went on 2 tours with Libby and Zak. What an enthusiastic, hospitable, knowledgable couple! Libby took me to Bertha’s Beach to see some amazing wildlife and then the following day Zak hosted a more ‘history’ based tour covering Shackleton’s expedition to Antarctica via The Falklands. Wow! Did Zak know his stuff?! All of this and the packed lunches were great!

  • Falkland Islands Wildlife Tour. My husband and I had an outstanding excursion with Bound Tours recently. From the minute we stepped off the ship and were greeted by Libby until our return, everything was exceptional. Libby provided options on locations which allowed us to see as much as possible during our visit. She generously shared her knowledge of the local wildlife, and we were fortunate to see a variety of penguins, sea lions and a whale that was extremely active. Libby was also incredibly kind in sharing details about her and her family's life on Falkland Island, which truly enhanced our experience. We had the pleasure of meeting some family members in person and they were extremely gracious! Many thanks to Libby and Bound Tours for making this excursion a top highlight of our trip!

  • Like travelling with a friend. It was a pleasure sharing Libby’s love of her island. We were able to see Gentoo, King and Magellanic penguins and she gave us a great overview of life on the Falklands.

  • Fantastic guides and tour operators! Fantastic 4-person tour! Libby was not only a great guide, getting us to popular sites before the buses arrived, being flexible in what to show us, telling us about living on the Falklands, and still providing lunch (with a local beer) despite us being called back to the ship early; but also she and Zak were great communicators before the tour, allaying any concerns I had about the possibility of our cruise not being able to tender in.

    - Richard

  • Absolutely Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant tour! Saw so much wildlife 3 types of Penguin, loads of birds, Commerson’s Dolphins, and Zak was so patient, knowledgeable and kind. Would highly recommend this tour!

    - Anna_A

  • Great excursion, perfectly organised. We had very good contact with the organiser, who was very flexible in responding to changes in our cruise ship’s arrival time. The excursion itself was exactly as expected and very enjoyable, we were able to get very close to the penguins, and even a few king penguins had wandered over to Bertha Beach.

  • Shackleton and beyond….an exceptional tour of The Falklands. Zak, a passionate, knowledgeable and personable young man provided an exceptionally well-prepared tour though was able to deviate from his usual approach in response to our questions and comments. As such, with a long family history in The Falklands and direct links to the discovery of Shackleton’s “Endurance” we came away with a great understanding and respect for Shackleton and life in The Falklands. Finishing the tour with tea and homemade cake in the Shackleton Room capped off a perfect day. The gift of a copy of the book, The Ship Beneath the Ice, by Mensun Bound, was greatly appreciated. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

  • Great hostes. Local who knew the spots that were not crowded. Saw sea lion couple and penguins. He even made us lunch.

  • Private Tour. A private tour with me, My husband and another cruise Passenger. We were taken to the areas mentioned in the tour. We saw the 2 sea lions that are by the lighthouse and taken to another area no tourist buses have access to. Lunch was provided by guide( local beer/sandwich and homemade pastry). Final part was minitour of the town. We had plenty of time to walk and do some shopping for souvenirs. Overall 5/5!

  • Wonderful day in Port Stanley. This trip was all that we hoped and more. We arrived earlier than expected at Stanley and Libby was able to accommodate our early arrival by starting the tour earlier than scheduled. Berths Beach was stunning with white sand and gentoo penguins in abundance. We then went to Gypsy Cove to see Magellanic penguins and had a wonderful view over York Bay. We saw two large sea lions at the local lighthouse followed by a lovely lunch with the option of local beer provided by Libby. We also had a tour of Stanley which though small was very interesting. Throughout the tour Libby was knowledgeable and friendly and told us so much of what life is like living in Stanley as well as being well informed on all that we were seeing. We would highly recommend doing a tour with Bound Tours and would love to return to see more of these beautiful Islands.
